The digital format allows us to annotate live together thus highlighting thinking processes in real time, use shared documents for guided practice, and immediately review and correct answers visually. This makes modelling clearer than on a physical whiteboard.
You get to learn from a comfortable, distraction-free environment at home. No commuting fatigue. No wasted time. Just focused, guided learning that starts the moment class begins.
With cameras on and a small group setting, engagement remains high and personal!

Our Curriculum
English with Miss E's curriculum addresses 90% of the PSLE English paper by building a repeatable way of thinking that works across every component.
You learn to approach Paper 1 (Writing), Paper 2 (Booklets A and B), and Paper 4 (Oral) with the same structured process: identify the clues, apply the right answering strategy, verify the answer. The strategies adapt to each component. The thinking framework stays consistent.

We don't rush through worksheets. Every lesson follows a deliberate sequence: a clearly defined strategy is introduced, modelled step by step, and then practised with guidance.
You receive precise feedback on your reasoning, reflect on the decisions you've made, and apply the skills on your own before the lesson ends.
Because the class is intentionally small, you will be seen and heard. Misconceptions are caught early, while they're still easy to correct and not months later when they've quietly shaped how you think.

What we cover
1 to 1 focus sessions
The right focus can undo months of uncertainty.
The Classroom Experience
Our lessons here heavily focus on past-year paper practice and are suitable for students who need to go at their own pace.
Past year papers typically include Paper 1 and Paper 2, which covers up to 70% of the PSLE English Paper. Wherever possible, you will also be supplemented with summarised notes from the group classes, although full access to the materials remain possible only via a group class enrolment.
Past-Year Papers
As this is a 1-1 class, you can expect close attention and the space to ask questions whenever you need to. Classes are less structured and more flexible, allowing us to target specific areas of improvement that you might be struggling in or prepare for specific examination requirements.
Since the curriculum is based on past year papers, the Practice with Purpose™ framework is not as explicit, and worksheets that target specific learning objectives are not available. Instead, the student learns from a holistic approach as we cycle through all the components of Paper 1 and Paper 2 at their own pace.
2 Options: Online and Offline
1-1 classes can be carried out online or offline, depending on your preference.
We only teach offline classes within the North-East region of Singapore, and reserve the right to reject students who stay too far out of our scope of travel.

How it works
There is no standard syllabus here because we're not dealing with standard cases. We're going deeper. More targeted.
Before each session begins, we identify what needs attention. From there, everything follows: whether it's one component, one question type, or one pattern of thinking that keeps breaking down, the session is built around that.
Every PSLE component is on the table. Where you need to go is where you start.
Each session runs for one hour. That hour belongs entirely to you.
We begin by identifying the specific area to work on together and with your needs leading the way. From there, the session moves at your pace: unpacking the thinking behind each step, asking the questions you haven't felt comfortable asking in class, and building the confidence to apply what you know without hesitating.
Why 1-1 Focus Sessions
Some children process quietly. Some need to ask the same question twice before it lands. Some know exactly what you're doing in theory, but freeze when it's time to commit to an answer. A 1-1 focus session is where all of that is not just accommodated, it is expected.
Our aim is to close specific gaps with these focus sessions and allow you to learn more confidently in group settings.
Limited slots available
1-1 Focus Sessions are offered on an ad-hoc basis and slots are intentionally kept limited. This ensures every session gets the same standard of preparation and presence that each child deserves.

Small Group Classes
For students who are ready to do better and want to know exactly how.
In large classes, many students learn quietly and leave with more questions than answers. In our small group classes, that doesn't happen. With a maximum of 6 students per class, there's nowhere to hide - and no reason to! Every student gets seen, heard, and guided through the thinking behind every answer. Small classes allow us to engage intentionally through games, videos and discussions with each other!
English with Miss E covers 90% of the PSLE English paper using clear, structured strategies that you can apply independently. The goal isn't just to get through the paper. It's to help students build a framework to help them understand what they're doing and why it works.

There's no fixed syllabus here. Your needs set the direction, and every session moves accordingly. Available year-round, so whether it's months before the PSLE or weeks away, we work with where you are and build from there.
