Small group classes

The clarity you build here stays with you long after class ends.

There's a version of English class where you sit quietly, copy notes, and leave unsure of what to do with them. That's not what this is.

English with Miss E's Small Group Classes are designed around one belief: learning must be structured, and practice must be guided. Knowing a rule is one thing. Knowing what to look for, and when to apply it, is something else entirely.

In a class of six, you have the space to slow down to learn, apply what you've learned, and receive feedback that catches and corrects in real time. You stop second-guessing. You stop dreading English. And you start to trust your own thinking.

That's what we want to build with you.

Our Curriculum

English with Miss E's curriculum addresses 90% of the PSLE English paper by building a repeatable way of thinking that works across every component.

You learn to approach Paper 1 (Writing), Paper 2 (Booklets A and B), and Paper 4 (Oral) with the same structured process: identify the clues, apply the right answering strategy, verify the answer. The strategies adapt to each component. The thinking framework stays consistent.

That consistency is what makes the learning transferable. You're developing a habit of mind that works every time you use English.

After 14 years designing curriculum for Singapore's top English enrichment brands, and 7 years as Head of Training and Development across a 13-branch network, we've seen exactly where most programmes lose students. We've built ours around closing those gaps.

Every worksheet is designed with a clear purpose:

  • to make thinking visible,

  • to ensure that practice is purposeful, and

  • to build strategies you can reach for independently.

There's no guessing. No going through the motions. Just a meaningful process you can trust and repeat.

Our Classroom Experience

We don't rush through worksheets. Every lesson follows a deliberate sequence: a clearly defined strategy is introduced, modelled step by step, and then practised with guidance - not in isolation.

You receive precise feedback on your reasoning, reflect on the decisions you've made, and apply the skills on their own before the lesson ends.

Because the class is intentionally small, you will be seen and heard. Misconceptions are caught early, while they're still easy to correct and not months later when they've quietly shaped how you think.

The Online Difference

Online learning, done well, isn't a compromise. It's a considered choice.

You get to learn from a comfortable, distraction-free environment at home. No commuting fatigue. No wasted time. Just focused, guided learning that starts the moment class begins.

The digital format allows us to annotate live together, highlight thinking processes in real time, use shared documents for guided practice, and immediately review and correct answers visually. This makes modelling clearer than on a physical whiteboard.

With cameras on and a small group setting, engagement remains high and personal. You can also expect a sprinkling of gamified quizzes, educational videos and interactive games weaved into our classes!
